Wasatch Canyons Tomorrow

A selection of visual work produced in 2009-2010 for the "Wasatch Canyons Tomorrow" project. Software: ESRI ArcMap, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Location: Salt Lake County, Utah : 2009-2010 The Wasatch Canyons Tomorrow process engaged the public in setting priorities and identifying long-term strategies to enhance and protect the value of the seven major canyons within the Wasatch Range located within the jurisdictional boundaries of Salt Lake County. Among other things, the process explored the impacts of increased canyon use and address issues such as land use and development, watershed protection and water quality, recreation, natural resource management, transportation, and public safety. Organization: Envision Utah Partners: State of Utah, Salt Lake County, and Salt Lake City in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service.

The Wasatch Canyons Tomorrow final report provides a selection of recommendations for projects, best management practices, and policies to be considered that will inform, but not supersede existing plans in the study area. In addition the report recaps the public involvement process and the input gathered through various workshops, open houses, and surveys.

Consistency in design, color, font, imagery, and presentation was critical. The amount of information to be presented required a simple yet captivating way to direct the reader to the appropriate chapter or content.
